Nice pics at Tiong Bahru

Awhile back we went to Tiong Bahru and took so many nice pictures so this shall be a photo log.

Nice pic outside a random hair salon because they have nice entrance and my legs are nice because jacelyn got awesome photo taking skills haha.

Café de Nicole's Flower

Probably one of the prettiest cafe I've been to. Like, not just the interior design is pretty, even the presentation of the food is pretty.

Check out how chio the pancake is?? I am not usually a fan of pancakes but the one here is super fluffy and yummy and makes me want to eat more (even though it's my friend's dish hahahahaha)


I ordered the ravioli, and it was good too! Love the plating.


Smoked Salmon Croissant~ Croissant never goes wrong.



The only probably is.... the cafe is very crowded and the tables are all so tiny that they aren't enough to even put 3 main dish and 3 beverages. We had to remove all our beverage trays to make space and even then, it was quite a squeeze.

Koma at Marina Bay Sands

For my 29th birthday dinner, S brought me to Koma at Marina Bay Sands. The entrance is just right next to Marquee, via this entrance.

I love the interior and vibe of this place! The waitress told us that there are different moods on different days - for example, on friday and saturday there are more clubbing songs because many diners who drop by Koma for first round of drinking before heading to marquee. I went on Sunday so the music was lighter, and it felt like I was in a trendy bar.



Although the interior is modern japanese, the food is fusion. The gyoza and unagi maki were great starters.



We ordered some sushi - not bad but nothing amazing.


I didn't really like the stew dishes... Was too bland for me.


This is supposedly fried rice but the version here is wet.


Also ordered some skewers to try....



For my birthday cake we had this super cute "bonsai" cake!


Overall the food was alright but customer service was good and I liked the vibes of the place. Wouldn't mind coming here again!

Merci Marcel

Met up with the girls at Merci Marcel for our Christmas gathering this year. We previously attempted to visit the branch at Tiong Bahru but the queue was too long so this time we went to the one at Palais Renaissance, which has a bigger space.

Such pretty interior calls for more photos!












Eggs benedict for me. It was good with a generous serving of ham, and I especially like the toast!

Did a simplified set up for our christmas tree this year because we are only hosting one small gathering compared to three last year. Used only a quarter of the ornaments we had, so that it's easier to keep afterwards haha.
