SX and me found this steamboat place right behind bugis junction. $19.20 per pax, abit higher than those to the back of the alley, but i find that it's so much worth it!

You get steamboat, grill, and cooked crab/prawns/etc etc! If you like crabs but cannot afford to go to expensive places like Jumbo, then go to this place! The crabs are smaller, but they are free flow!!!! I had two big plates of the crabs.

A little tip though, come early in the evening when they havent served many customers because later into the night when more people come, the place would get really dirty. The place is too small, so there's alot of people squeezing for the food.

Whenever i walk in to get food, i have an annoying instinct to puke cos the way they handle food is quite unhygenic. That's why i got sx to get everything for me and i just enjoy my food outside. Haha.

And the meat. I dont know why i didn't feel like eating the pork slices anymore after eating a slice or two. Until i got into the place where they handle the meat then i know why already. They put different kinds of meat into ONE freezer. Pork, Lamb, and Beef. I dont eat beef due to religious beliefs, and i guess that's the reason why i didn't feel like eating it (yes, even before i got to know that this pork has touched beef before).

When i was in primary school, also like this! I didn't eat macdonalds alot then, so when teacher handed out cheeseburgers for school activity at that time, i didn't know it contains beef. But i puked out everything after one bite and stopped eating the burger.

I think my tongue buds rejects beef automatically. Haha.

These crabs are really spicy but really yummy too!!


Chilli prawns. Also very nice!


Crayfish. Abit smelly. I think not fresh.






Went to the arcade afterwards.


We spent almost all our chips on this station. We spent alot of time playing the PhotoHunt game! Addicted already lah. Haha. Had loads of fun.






Went to swensens for icecream afterwards.

Wish my real hair would faster grow long long. People say my hair look the same length with or without hair extensions but i think got difference! My hair so short.

I'm now putting on a mango flavoured facemask. Very nice fragrance!! Love it. So gonna buy more mango flavoured facemasks. Hohoho. Like very delicious leh, i now craving for mango shaved ice already.


Heard that my little baby cousin can walk already! So long since i last visited the grandparents, so i didn't watch her walk yet. I love that little baby. She's always so cheerful and active.

It's f*cking unfair for you to judge a person by his tattoos and constantly put him down because of it. It's f*cking discriminating.

So people with tattoos have to be shunned like they are murderers? As you said, if my bf has some tattoos, i should not put our pictures on my blog? How could i do such a cruel thing of hiding my bf from the public eye just because he has some tattoos? I'm not ashamed of his tattoos, why should i do that. I dont care about what relatives think. Older people are mostly narrow minded, they are bound to relate tattoos with bad guys. But do their views really matter? Will it cause you any harm listening to them gossip about my choice of boyfriend?

What for have a decent looking boyfriend who illtreats you, when you could have a boyfriend who dote on you but have some tattoos?

Im tired of explaining and standing up for him again and again. It's like, you dont care how well my boyfriend treats me. All you think of is your face. Have you ever thought of my happiness?

Argh.
Let me present you a scenario.

If you happen to fall in love with someone who is handicapped physically in some way or another, would you be ashamed to put up pictures of you two together in fear of letting people know you are together with someone who's not as perfect as normal people?

No right? Same logic.
I feel sad for you if you feel ashamed about any flaws your boyfriend has. Note that the word is "ASHAMED". It's a very strong word.

Please be reasonable.
How would u feel if someone else strongly judged me or you because of one physical flaw i have that has nth to do with my character?

On to happier things.

Went to eat Jumbo Seafood with sx that night!
I dont think i ever ate at Jumbo before so i was quite excited! Wanted to taste how good their crabs is as claimed.


Sambal KangKong! I can just eat this dish with rice, no need other meat dishes!


Their chilli crabbbbbby. SX gave me all the "Bong" cos he knows i prefer eating from it as it has more meat and it's easier to get the meat out.


Buns to dip into the crab sauce.


Ate this gong bao frogmeat. Got some weird spice called "hua jiao" in it that numbs your whole mouth. I dont like. Was nice of the waitress to cancel it away even though it's my fault i dont like the "hua jiao".


Egg yolk prawn! Me love.


The table next to us ate a freaking big crab!! You cant see how big it is from this picture but it is really mega huge!


Had yampaste afterwards. I like.



Final bill is $xxx after dabaoing some food for my family. *heartpain!* I think that the food is good but i think i can get cheaper but still tasty alternatives elsewhere.

Wife's hurt, but I still pity my mistress

This headline caught my eye yesterday and after reading the newspaper about it, i felt damn pissed off!

Here's the shorter version:

His wife is badly scalded by the hot oil poured on her by his mistress, but Mr Soo Kiong Sing says he is still caught between the two women and pities his mistress.

The mistress, Goh Gek Hwee, was jailed 3.5 years and fined $4,500 for the attack on the morning of 18 Apr.

At about 8.30am, she forced her way into the Soos' flat and tied both Madam Chan Hoong Choo - Mr Soo's wife - and his 16-year-old daughter up.

Goh then heated some oil in a frying pan and pouted the hot oil over Madam Chan's head and slowly down her body, then onto her legs.

Goh Gek Hwee, 36, was jailed for three-and-a-half years on Tuesday. She was also fined $4,500 for hitting the victim with a frying pan.

A district court heard that Madam Chan Hoong Choo, 41, suffered burns to her face, scalp, trunk, arms and legs in the attack on April 18.


Several things:
1) That husband. I personally thinks that cheating is bad and should be avoided, but im also a little bit more forgiving towards that because i understand that sometimes it is not within control (im not talking about men who purposely go around and flirt lah, im talking about a man who falls in love with a colleague/assistant/secretary after long period of time spent together).

But, cheating in a non-marital relationship and a married relationship is different. If my bf cheats on me, at most i just break off with him lor, since he also not in love with me already. But if my Husband cheats on me, i find it more heartbreaking. It's like, have you forgotten how much you were in love with your wife when you said "i do" before the pastor?

But that's not the main point.

That husband, still pities and side with his mistress after his mistress tied his wife up and pour hot oil over her face?? Like, are you out of your mind??? Useless jerk.

In normal circumstances, the man should feel guilty and protect his wife even more right? He should be feeling hatred towards his mistress instead! Afterall, one's a wife and another one is just a mistress.

"Mr Soo and Goh have got back together and he was in court to support her. " Reading this sentences makes me want to puke all over the man. Ewww. Support the woman who heartlessly disfigured your wife using such a painful method? Your wife did nothing wrong except suayingly being your wife.


2) The mistress
Why was she only punished a jail term of 3.5 years and fined $4,500???? That's a super light punishment! You ruined someone's life forever, and you only need to serve 3.5 years in jail? It's so not fair. I personally think she should be jailed 20 years. So that by the time she comes out she is 50+ already.


3) The wife
I pity the wife. I feel that no matter how bad a person is (giving the benefit of the doubt that she wasn't a good wife thus the man went astray), one should not have to go through the horror of having hot oil burning the face and being disfigured. It's really a tragedy. I can't even think about how much pain she went through :(


it's such a complicated and miserable world out there.

HELLO!

I changed my mind. I'm gonna give out the angela chang tickets all in this entry instead of one per day. Haha. Say yay. (scroll to end of entry if you are interested)


Gotta love my new netbook's battery life. Im so used to having my battery drop 25% within 15 minutes that im so surprised that my new HP Mini only dropped 9%! (anyway my percentage is agar-agar one, not accurate one. haha)

Ooops, I havent took any pics of it yet. Forgot!


Anyway, i was eating breakfast with SX in the morning as usual when he suddenly say he needs to go to the washroom. After awhile, he asked me to go downstairs, and there he was, waiting for me, half body behind a mcdonalds big signboard. I then realised that he sure is got surprise one.

He remembered that i always go gaga over carebears in shops.


Hugged the bear around town that day. So paisei. But it was so comfortable when we watched a movie later on! Like bring pillow out lydat.



Watched PokerKing. I love hongkong movies.



I counted and realise i have 25 soft toys on my bed, including 2 which are super extra large. I think they take up around half the bed lor! No wonder i always no place to roll around when i sleep at night. To counter this, sometimes i hug a couple of bears, sometimes i push some off my bed, and some i lie on top of them. Lol.

I try not to be too over flamboyant with what i feel towards him because i dont wanna come across as showy, but i sort of miss him :

That night with the breeze in our faces,

as we see cars disappearing behind us,
i fell double in love.

BENTO #9

Ingredients needed:
Sushi rice (half a cup)
One egg

One slice of chicken patty
One or two hotdogs
Carrot

This one is easy. Im sure you can do it as well!



1) Add a pinch of salt into the rice water, if not it'll be tasteless. After the rice cooker switched to warm mode, you may scoop rice into a ricemould and cover it (make sure you squeeze enough rice, so that it wont be loose). I used a heartshape mould for this and i usually keep the rice inside the mould until i finish everything else, as i want the rice to stick together firmly.

2) Cut the chicken patty into small pieces, and then fry them with little oil. After it turns golden brown, put them into a cupcake holder like i did.



3) Fry a sunny side up. Squeeze it into the cupcake holder. I was so pleased with myself for frying an egg without bursting the yolk area. Haha.

4) Cut the hotdogs into pieces and then fry them. It is usually easier to cut them when they are hard and frozen than when they are hot and soft.


5) After this you can arrange the items in the lunch box. Use carrots and a veggie cutter to make decorations. I used sesame seeds and grass dividers as well.

Easy right?!!












BENTO #10

I was lazy to mould the rice, and i was using normal rice for this bento. I pushed it to a square, and then fried an egg, folded it into a square, and placed it on top of the rice.

Afterwards, i boiled a couple of meatballs, afew slices of meat and some veggie with the soup mum made (ok i cheated. i dont know how to make soup so i use my mum's soup. hahaha)

The fried thingy below just two pieces of marinated minced meat (marinated with salt, soya sauce, pepper, and black sauce)

Decorated with grass dividers and a flag!









BENTO #11

This is my UGLIEST BENTO EVER.

Haha, i did this in like 10 minutes i think? Haha. I took out leftover wanton from the fridge, reheated them, fried a slice of hotdog (it's behind the dog divider in this picture haha) ((okay i never fry it i microwaved it.. but then i learnt that you cannot microwave a frozen uncooked hotdog because it will taste horrible. haha)). I reheated and moulded leftover sushi rice, then added a flower carrot on top and threw small pieces of carrot all around ( to add colour but apparently it didn't do its job). And then i added grass dividers to make it look more like a specially made bento than an anyhow do one. haha.

I pity sis, who ate everything (while complaining.)
HAHA.

My hp mini arrived. SO DAMN HAPPY.
Dad's installing the necessary programs now. So excited.

Anyway, anyone knows how to narrow a widescreen so that it becomes normal screen? Cos my new netbook the screen is widescreen one but i dont like widescreen cos my face becomes fatter!

Met up with Janelle and Gillian for movie!
Watched My Sister's Keeper.

I LOVED IT.
It made me cry continuously scenes after scenes. It's such a touching and meaningful show! You all should really go catch it.

Before the movie i went to Milly's to take out my acryllic nails while janelle did her pedicure.







Spectacles~ I took out all my hair extensions already! Many people commented that i look better without them but i still miss long hair :( Look at the picture, my hair so short!

The next day i met up with Xiaoting at FarEast.







Met up with Shuana afterwards for a Skecher's opening event at Ion. By2 was guests and they did some performances. Videoed it down. I'll write more about it on another entry :)

i smsed my sister one morning, asking her:
"Hey, what is iris' number?"

(i wanted to get the 'iris' bus info's number so that i can find out how long more my bus39 is going to come because me and sx have been waiting for it for 20 mins and he pekchek-ing already. haha)


The number replied:
"Good question but i have no idea"


(then i realised that i send wrong number.)
For some reason i found his/her reply funny. Haha.



Met up with Amanda for movie.
Watched "TALENTIME"
I felt that the show was abit too draggy at times, but i guess that's the director's style: to show a point by using a scene instead of just saying it out directly.

No wonder the movie is 2 hours.
Head felt heavy after i left the theatre. Haha but then i like the parts towards the ending. The storyline is cruel and true, although the languages and cultures used might not be very relevant to us because the scenes took place in malaysia.

Had crystal jade eggtarts after the movie. Very nice! I dont usually like to eat eggtarts cos once upon a time i had eggtarts almost everyday until i got scared of it, but this one is really sweet :)




Went over to Novena to eat XinWang! It's a new branch, heh. Ate my favourite again while amanda ate her favourite toast.









Amanda had almost no makeup on and i was in my dress-down state again. Not much camwhoring then!




Alright, my playfish games download just finished! Gonna play it now. Bye!
