LYRAMINN X GUMTREE

Recently while looking for an additional selling platform for my online boutique Lyra Minn, I downloaded Gumtree's new and revamped app!

All along I knew about Gumtree's existence as Singapore’s number 1 free online classified, but it was my first time selling on Gumtree and I'm honestly very impressed with how simple it is to use the brand new interface! Posting an ad only takes me 3 minutes, plus it's free!

I just need to click on the sell button, take a photo, select the category, input the description and price, and voila, it's up and live! Kaching$$$!

I don't like dealing with the nitty gritty stuff so usually my partner is the one handling all the customer service and sales for my boutique. However, I realize it's actually quite easy using the Gumtree app! I can instantly reply my customers on my phone using the application's chat function, providing instant service for my customers.

I've also been exploring the Gumtree App as a buyer! Navigating around the app to find stuff I need is quick and effortless! Besides pretty clothing, you can also find almost anything with the help of the Gumtree community; from furniture on Gumtree to electronics on Gumtree to books at a bargain price to an electric scooter for sale, find a job or a flat, a nanny for your kids, or a find a language teacher and a part time maid on gumtree!

In collaboration with Gumtree, you can find Lyra Minn's exclusive deals on my Gumtree profile, for a limited time only!

Here are some of the brand new pieces from Lyra Minn recent collections that  I specially selected for this LYRA MINN X GUMTREE collaboration!

Everything at least 30% off the retail price, and nothing above $20!!! Yes, even for new arrivals! Only on my Gumtree profile you can get these exclusive deals!

Don't worry about not having a credit card, because you can arrange for payment and collection at Nuffnang's office through Gumtree!

Download the new and revamped Gumtree App now available on App store and Google Play store, and follow me on my Gumtree profile!

Taiwan - Changhua

We had a short stay in Changhua during our holiday in Taiwan.

One thing I love about travelling to other countries is the part where I get to try experiencing what life is like for someone living his or her life in another part of the world, completely different from mine. It's quite an intriguing thought.

The Betterfield

Gosh, just realized that I only blogged 8 entries last month! It's like the lowest ever throughout my blogging career! Not sure why but I've been extremely busy these days. Hardly have time to do nothing! It has been awhile since I filled up my social calendar too... Need more time time time!

Just awhile before starting this entry, I was struggling to choose between spending my night on blogging or watching Kang Xi Lai Le. I'm lagging behind by so many episodes! Kang Xi Lai Le is my happy pill because I always laugh a lot at the hosts and guests' antics! But if I watch and don't blog, I might end up with zero posts a month! Hahaha.

Okay, here's a simple entry! Bf found this cafe at Waterloo Street called The Betterfield, which is creatively named to sound like Battlefield. Haha. Not bad ah.

To be honest, I was quite disappointed when I entered the cafe though. The decor was very very very simple, a huge contrast from the standard pretty cafes nowadays. It didn't look like the cafe was going to serve anything better than mediocre food.

But I was so so so wrong!! I ordered the duck confit and it was sooooo good, I kept craving for it. The fattiness is not jelat at all, the crispy skin of the duck is very tasty. Also, the tender meat, which went well with and without the unique pairing of berry compote at the side. Thumbs up thumbs up!

Ordered Thai Chilli Chicken and it's also very good! The ingredients in the sauce add up to be a really nice coat for the fried chicken wings. Must order!

I liked the presentation of the Burnt Mentaiko Eggs Royale! I've never thought of pairing Mentaiko with Eggs Royale. What an awesome pairing!

I recommend for its good food!

For dinner we had mookata because I haven't had it for a long time!! Yummy!

Happy happy day because good food whole day! Haha. Good food = Happy Esther.

Soi 60

Awhile back, I visited Soi 60 at Robertson Quay for lunch with bf and Alvin, and was so impressed with the food! I generally like Thai food alot, but tend to always order the same few common dishes. Glad we ventured out of our comfort zone this time and tried some different Thai food!

Soi 60 is a spacious and contemporary restaurant, a stark difference from most Thai eateries that tend to have traditional decor instead.

I liked the Peach and Mint Tea! Halfway through my meal I spilled the entire cup on myself. So embarrassing! But it was so good that I ordered one more because I was very sad about having only 1/3 cup left after everything else landed on my dress!

They ordered the traditional Thai Iced Tea.

For starters, we had the Crispy Duck Pancake, which also has Lychee inside. What a unique combination, but it went well together.

The thai herbs in these spring rolls we had next, were extremely fresh and fragrant and the pairing of sausage inside is a juxtaposition of tradition and modern. I was quite surprised that I actually like this dish because I don't usually like spring rolls full of vegetables.

The Salmon Tartare here is a special dish worth ordering too! It comes with slices of crackers to pair with.

I've always liked thai-style steamed fish, so we also ordered the Steamed Seabass, which was meaty, fresh, and satisfying.

Specifically ordered the Mix Seafood too, because it has all the yummy seafood in it: scallop, prawn, squid, chili, lime leaf, glass noodles. Thumbs up for this one!

Iberico Pork was recommended to us by the server, and although it doens't look very pretty, it was very delicious. The pork is slow cooked and very tender.

So many good food I had a difficult time deciding which dish to focus on! Moreover we also had the simple dish of Grilled Chicken which was very well flavoured and tender too.

We were very full already and had a movie to catch but we decided to stay for dessert. After all the good food above, we were sure the desserts would be good too! We were especially intrigued by this dish called "Black Sticky Rice" and at first, we thought it would be the traditional Mango Sticky Rice except black colored rice instead of white, but in the end it was a version of pulut hitam topped with mango. It was quite ok, I still prefer the traditional dry type of Mango Sticky Rice.

Next, we also had the Thai Tea Tiramisu. We actually weren't very interested in its plain look, but it turned out to be the better dessert of the two.

The restaurant is definitely worth the visit!

Wearing a blue dress with swan prints I bought from Bangkok!

If you are wondering what happened to the movie that was supposed to be after lunch, I actually thought that we could make it since it's quite near. But bf keyed in the wrong address in his GPS and we went to opposite way!!! After we u-turn and made our way to the right direction, we were met with plenty of roadblocks due to NDP and we reached the cinema very very very late. In the end we decided to forfeit the tickets we had and rebought tickets for a later timing. All the rush for nothing!

Another Random Line Sticker Story

So after my very boliao story on Line chat using Meow Zhua Zhua stickers, here's another one using a new set of stickers I bought recently, of this violent rabbit called Spoiled Rabbit. I didn't immediately like this set and took me awhile before I finally decided to buy it. For several days, I was very amused with how the rabbit keeps bullying the smiley face. Bf says that he believes the smiley face is the rabbit's soft toy instead of boyfriend, because the smiley face continues to smile no matter how the rabbit bully it.

I especially like this one where the rabbit tries to eat the unsuspecting smiley face infront. Hahaha.

And so, the random story went like this.....

Aren't we over-imaginative? Lol. Later in the afternoon, I sent bf this sticker with the impression to express that I was feeling tired, and he replied me, "You still dare to lie on the scary plush toy?" Lol!

In the end I still find Cony cuter! Haha. This last sticker of Cony running towards Brown for a hug is really extremely adorable! So appropraite to use when trying to get sayang from boyfriend. Haha.

**Yes, he got typo again, should be "the" instead of "tge". Aiya always typo one lah, last time he say is because the phone keyboard spoil. After change phone, still same issue. Told him he needs to take up mobile typing lessons. Haha. Sometimes he sends me a sentence full of gibberish words with extreme typo in almost every word, as though a toddler sat on his keyboard and accidentally sent a message. I had to guess what he was trying to say. That day he praised me for being able to read all his typos. Okay lah at least I got praised for all the hard work. Lol.

Ikea Crayfish Party

Awhile back, Jacelyn asked us on our group chat if we are keen to go for the Ikea Crayfish Party this year. I didn't know Ikea organized this last year! Did some research and learnt that it's a Swedish tradition and since it's only $20 per person, why not!
