My first time playing mahjong!

A happy and fun-packed weekend earlier this year!

Went to HDB hub with bf to check out the newly renovated showrooms which we weren't able to visit when we applied for our BTO last year. Although we booked a 5 room flat, it was very interesting to also visit the 2/3/4-room showrooms! Told bf I actually quite like the studio apartment because it felt very cozy but he still insist he prefer big spaces. Haha. Well, what I feel is, how big can a 5-room HDB flat be? If really want big, go for super big and get a huge mansion instead! I would gladly forgo 'cozy' for a grand and beautiful mansion hahaha.

After that, we went to Seletar Mall for lunch and movie. I love watching movies but it seem like the screening times in Singapore are very limited. I wanted to watch a particular movie that day, but all the theaters are showing it at either 7pm or 9pm. Don't have 8pm de! 7pm is too rush and 9pm is too late. 8pm is just nice~

Afterwards we went to check out the building progress of our BTO at Punggol! Nothing up yet during that time, but now already started with 2nd/3rd storey! So excited~ Faster build faster build! Haha.

This is the beautiful field behind, which leads to the sea. It would probably be under construction for other new homes by the time we move in. Such a pity because I would love to have such a pretty backyard! I always feel good when I visit the BTO site, and I already love our new home even though it's not even built yet! (But if can nearer to LRT/MRT will be better. haha. Looking at how far we are from the nearest station, I may have to cab everyday -_-)

Afterwards, bf dropped me off for my gathering with this bunch at Eugene's house. Missing Amber who couldn't make it that day! These are the people I can comfortably talk to about anything and everything even though all six of us have very different personalities. Our group chat is active every single day and moment, on weekdays on weekends, from morning when I just woke up till night just before I sleep. Haha.

 Yummy zi-char dinner!

Eugene taught me how to play mahjong and I am so hooked on the game ever since. I want more mahjong sessions!

Stranger's Reunion

I had a $20 voucher to Stranger's Reunion that was expiring soon so I thought, why not drop by the cafe to make use of it instead of letting it go to waste. So one fine afternoon me and bf visited the cafe, had a nice meal, and went back to the car with a $70 parking summon.... See lah, want to make use of free food, ended up with a loss of $70 instead! Haha. Actually it is a nice punishment for bf lah. He always forget to buy parking coupons and he already kena summon multiple times throughout the three years we have been together! So not worth it! Luckily after that he went to buy a stack and put inside the car already.

Stranger's Reunion was crowded as usual.

Recently, I constantly feel the lack of free time to slowly enjoy life and do the things that make me happy. What's the point if we spend all our days unhappily doing all these "necessary" things we dislike? Time is so limited and precious. Have been trying to squeeze time as much as I can so that I can balance the both, but I'm so tired now :'( Seems like balance only belongs to rich people who can delegate most tasks they dislike to other people and maximize time on doing happy stuff!

Just some days before this, I told myself I MUST slim down already.... But then look at me, I just cannot resist all these fattening food. Haha.

Yum yum~ Love berries waffles!

Wore this sheer outerwear c/o Earthdoll. Not my usual style but it's a nice break from girly floral dresses. Oh ya, check out my bandaged injured toe.

Lakeside

It has been some time since I last painted! Arts has always been my favourite subject in school, because I feel that painting is very therapeutic and helps to clear my mind. Also, there are no boring theory lessons that I have to memorise!

I love drawing and painting in classes, but hated exams because they tend to test on abstract art. I think that I fare extremely badly in abstract. I prefer to draw and paint exactly what I see.

Painted a colorful art piece this time! While searching for landscapes to reference, I found an entire gallery of paintings by Jean-Marc Janiaczyk and I really like his works! I painted this looking at one of them. Think I will try some of his other paintings next time. Hopefully I will improve with each canvas :)

Not sure what I should paint next!

High Tea at Kuvo

Before meeting the girls for our high tea session at Kuvo, we stopped at a random carpark so that bf can help me to take my usual OOTD photo first. After we finished taking a few shots, I was getting ready to go back to the car when instead of packing his DSLR back into his bag, he suddenly placed the camera on top of the car, pressed some buttons, ran to me, held my hand, looked at me, and started walking. Haha. That's how we captured this "while walk while look at each other" self-timer photo. Quite nice hor?

It is a very fake "candid" photo because if it were a true candid photo, his eyes definitely anywhere else except on me! Hahaha. One of the rare moments I get to enjoy him looking at me leh. Hehe.

Rollerblading

This happened in September 2014 but I only managed to sort out the photos today! This entry is probably my most overdue post ever! Haha.

When I told bf that I haven't try rollerblading before, he got his friend to teach me one fine day!

Here's Alvin teaching me how to balance on concrete after getting me to try walking on grass!

After awhile, I finally can blade few meters on my own without support!

In the midst of learning, while Alvin left us alone to roller-blade on his own for awhile, bf made me blade across the road while assuring that he would hold on to me. When almost reaching the end, I could neither turn nor brake so I screamed for him to stop us before we fall and he said he don't know how to brake also! Then what's the point of me holding onto him!!! Kena bluff. Hahaha. End up he asked me to grab a branch of a tiny tree opposite to stop myself. There were so many ants on that branch but at that point in time, I couldn't care less because if I don't grab that branch, I would probably fall the next second. Lol.

Yep, I wore knee guards, ankle guards, and wrist guards because I was very sure I would fall! But luckily I didn't fall at all! Hehe.

Learnt how to rollerblade on straight paths but if a staircase or slope appear, or if I want to stop, I defintely have to hold onto someone. Haha. It was extremely tiring at the end of our short session! I wonder how other people look like they can roller-blade effortlessly!

It was extremely shiok to quench our thirst with Ice Milk Tea in a coffee house after all that energy spent!

Quite fun lah! At least now I can tell people I have roller-bladed before. Hahaha.
