Welcome the new year with new clothes!

My wardrobe is running out of space and I really need to clear some clothes out so that I can reorganize my stuff! If you are in need of new clothes but on a budget, you may consider getting one of these!

Most items are brand new or worn once, as I usually do not re-wear an item after featuring them here. Most of them are outfits I have posted on this blog before, so you know overall what kind of style they are.

I will randomly pack 2 items from my wardrobe into the package, which can be dress/top/shorts. Let me know if you have any preference and I will TRY to match it. For example, "only dresses", "only tops", "no pink", or "only black and white" etc. You can also let me know if you are very petite or a little chubbier than average so that I can try to pack in clothes that are closer to your fit! My clothes are usually average size but I have some which are a little tight or a little loose. Please give general terms as I won't be able to specifically find one which is "Aqua blue + floral print + bareback + scallop hem" etc.

Kampong Mimpi

I am quite hooked on the 9 o'clock dramas on Channel 8 recently. After lots of laughter watching "It Takes Two", I have been following "Beyond X元素", starring Jeanette Aw, Lee Nan Xing and Pierre Png. I don't watch it everyday but whenever I do, I find myself extremely intrigued by the story-line. Sometimes I find the script a little draggy, but I think it's only because I can't wait till the next episode to get the explanation and find out what's really going on. I kept trying to come up with logical explanations for the happenings! Haha. And, it is also quite ridiculous that so many absurd things happen around the female lead one after the other... But still, I find myself looking forward to each episode of the drama! At first I was quite appalled by Jeanette Aw's acting cute for her character but after awhile I find her quite cute! Haha. Love how she uses common Singaporean-language instead of proper mandarin sentences... Anyway, why is Pierre Png so charming? I think it has something to do with the fact that he always play those loving, devoted characters.

Oh and, I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the theme song!

Recently there was this chapter about "Kampong Mimpi", something about how it's a dream dimension. Her father claims that his life in the dream at Kampong Mimpi is the real thing and the real world is a dream. It's very interesting!

After that I went to translate the word 'Mimpi' and it's actually 'Dream' in english! Haha!

My boyfriend has been watching the series too and he told me he recognize the scenes where they filmed the Kampong and brought me there one day! He told me that this is the last-surviving village in Singapore.



For a person like me who grew up in the urban city, it's like entering a whole different world!

If this dress is still available at the store, I think it is very suitable for the upcoming Lunar New Year! Without being too red and striking, the color is mild yet bright enough for festive cheer! Plus, can wear it many times more after the Lunar New Year as it is a very versatile and simple design!

Sometimes crazy

Earlier this week I was walking along a path by the roadside and saw a man waiting in his car, most probably to pick up his gf/wife from work.

I don't know why but I suddenly started singing this (lucky no one was near):

Hahaha very boliao! If you are not too young you know that this was Ado's song from a long time back. I haven't been hearing it for quite some time, so I have no idea why it came into my head! And when I looked for the lyrics online to write this entry, I realize I missed out one whole paragraph. Haha.

Jacelyn held her ROM on the beautiful date 12-12-12 at Carpenter And Cook! Congratulations to the newly weds!

The place was prettily decorated and it totally suits Jacelyn's style!

Happiness and Money

---- This is a scheduled post written yesterday ----

After trying to stay positive despite my whole of today being quite unsmooth, I came home to find that my computer cannot start up.

MY COMPUTER SPOIL :(

So now I'm using my dad's laptop as an alternative. But he doesn't have chrome. So I'm using a slower browser now. Nevermind, at least it works. Then, I realize he did not update the flashplayer in order for me to do certain stuff. I tried to download it but the installation refuses to start.

SIGH.
I really dislike wasting time, especially when free time for myself is so rare nowadays. I believe that my quality of life would be much better if I had abundance of time. I would be a much happier person. I would be less impatient.

You know, everytime when I'm out alone doing my own stuff without a time limit, I feel so free and happy. The air feels fresh and my mood is always heightened. There is no rush, there is no worry about the need to answer to anyone nor do stuff I dislike, etc. Even when I bump into little inconveniences, I am not annoyed at all.

So this year, one of my 10 resolutions is to morph my lifestyle into one where I have more time and liberty to enjoy my own freedom. In 2012, I learnt the importance of money. Because money can buy time and freedom. In the past, I have a very casual attitude towards money. It didn't matter so much in the past because I have always felt that 钱财乃身外之物. But after being restricted too much because of my lack of money, money is one of the top few items on my 'WANT' list now. Many times, I am forced to do things the difficult way all because I don't have the money to buy my way through. A simple example: having to take stupid buses with confusing routes and transfers, 90 minute journeys and getting lost, all because I cannot spare a pathetic weeny $10 for a taxi ride which will take me only 30 minutes and save me time. It feels very ARGHHHH one you know. The examples doesn't just stop at these little inconveniences. I will do a more in-depth entry about my feelings towards money, probably after I'm fully over this hurdle. Money can't guarantee happiness but it makes it easier for you to find ways to reach happiness. Having no money to fulfill what makes you happy, guarantees unhappiness.

Ok, since I can't do anything now on this bare laptop, I shall go watch some videos and laugh my night away.

**Update after 2 minutes: What?! I cannot even load videos on YouTube without flashplayer... But, the laptop is refusing to start the installation what can I do?!?!?!

My Ted

Ted says Hi!



So happy!!! On Xmas Eve, my boyfriend picked me up at my house for our little afternoon date. I got into the car first and he came in with this Ted!! ^_^ It's actually the 'Thunder Buddy' from the movie Ted. So cute and nice to hug!


We went to run some errands first and then proceed to have quick lunch at this cafe nearby.

He wasn't feeling too well thus he had pasta, which didn't look very appetizing to me.


I had grilled pork chop, which was quite decent. Meat texture was quite nice too.


The place sold Gelato, so we got a couple of scoops for ourselves!


Outfit of the day:
Necklace - Earthdoll [Located at Bukit Panjang Plaza #03-21]
Top & Shorts - This sheer black loose blouse over a navy blue polka-dot top is from Mamatiam at only $12! I paired it with an orange floral shorts from Far East Plaza.
Sandals - Also from Far East Plaza at $10 I think. I seldom wear it because there are 3 latches on each side and it takes a longer time to wear and remove, compared to other slip-on sandals with zippers or elastic bands.

After our visit to S.E.A Aquarium, we went to have dinner at The King Louis, located at Vivocity. Bf made reservations for 7pm but we were ahead of our schedule and reached there at 5pm. Haha. Over early.


Exterior was quite interesting! This place serves western food, so it was quite appropriate for Christmas. I heard that the portions at this place is quite big, hence I was really looking forward to filling my stomach!
