Girly Sessions!!

Preparations before Pink Party


Met up with Fidelis for all the preparations!!

1) APPAREL

Clothing for the fashion walk was to be sponsored by BYSI, and thus we went to the outlet at somerset313 to choose a piece of our choice!

I chose this light blue puff sleeve top with the polkadot high waist shorts.




After some briefing about the event, we headed over to the Handburger! I had always wanted to try it but didn't have the chance to do so.

This is my main course. Look at the amount of cream!!! I almost puked after eating half of the burger. Nextime I go I will do without cream!

And her tandoori burger. Doesn't look pleasing but I wonder how it taste!


Even though we are already very full, we still have our dessert! The chocolate cake is not those lava-cake kind, kinda disappointed! However, we had fun eating the white foaming thing! I suspect it is half-melted icecream. Haha.




2) WAXING

Me and Fidelis met up again to go for the sponsored leg waxing but because my legs have alot of open wound due to my excessive scratching (gross!!) and Fidelis had just waxed hers days before, we cancelled the waxing appointment and headed over to our next appointment...


3) MANICURE AND PEDICURE
Ladyfinger was one of the sponsors of the Pink Party, thus we had sponsored services too! Classic manicure and pedicure. We had 4 manicurists serving us!! Lol. It was quite relaxing with the massages and all.





Had this colour for my nails cos I saw it on one of the manicurist and fell in love with the colour!


Got TV! I think it's a really good idea cos I always feel bored during manicure sessions.





Loved the feet spa and massage! *shuang*



4) HAIR

On the event day itself, we went to Essensuals at bugis for our hair styling appointment! Fidelis had her hair blown, and I had my hair tied up to a high ponytail!




They were kind enough to help me cut off my horrendous long fringe into pretty bangs!

Now what's lacking is only a massage! If only I could do all these girly sessions every week with my girls! ^_^

Pink Party!!

Did you attend the POCC pink party?

Me, Fidelis, Valerie, Nadia, Dawn, and Priscilla had a fashion walk on stage that night and we delivered our speech about cervical cancer in front of party-goers and flashes from the media cameras. It was nerve-wrecking at first but after all was over, I realised that it was such great fun!

Whole outfit was from theblogshopsg. The pink top, the belt, the grey skirt-shorts, and the paris bag.

Pris kept disappearing! Luckily I managed to take a photo with her after we changed into our sponsored outfits from BYSI.


I don't have photos of us on stage yet though! Will post up after I get it :)





Me and Fidelis were trembling inside while waiting for our turn at backstage, but luckily the other girls gave us much support by patting our backs and convincing us to relax. I'm sorry I was sort of whiney that night but they didn't complain and understood how nervous I was! Much appreciated. Love the bunch of girls :)

Overall, it was quite an exciting experience for me. I don't mind doing it one more time!

With A Pinch Of Salt

Nadia has been talking to us about bringing us to a mystery gem for quite some time already! Finally the idea was put to action and soon we were on our way to With A Pinch Of Salt.







The interior it seem, was exactly what Nadia would have liked. I think that it bear some resemblance to Miss Clarity Cafe's concept.









We particularly loved the menu! Although it lacked of unique dishes (seems like the food they serve are quite common like any other western dining outlet), they made up for it with funny descriptions! Here are afew which caught my attention and made me giggled.








We ordered 3 starters!!

Cheesy Fries. Looks appetizing doesn't it?


My favourite chicken wings!! It seems like everywhere I go, I cannot resist chicken wings. I particularly like chicken wings cooked either by BBQ or this way. (Don't really like those that have lots of flour) If I come again, I'll eat the chicken wing again - as main course!


It was my first time eating Potato Munchkins! I like the filling - bacon bits with cheese. Would prefer for the potato to be thinner though.


And for the main course,
Fidelis had something beef. Not sure what is it called cos I wasn't paying attention when she was ordering. Haha.


But I remember the name of this dish that Jacelyn ordered! I remember finding it funny when she said "Sissy Crab Pasta" to the waitress.


Nadia had Cordon Bleu!


And me, like I always do, ordered a combo. Fish, chicken, lamb, potato wedges, bacon, ham, sunny side up, chipolatas, all in one!! Couldn't finish though, the portion was too big, I think enough for 2-3!!! I usually finish up my meats, so you can gauge how fulling it was. There was two pieces of chicken! (Doesn't help that I don't really like fried breaded chicken and fish.)



I even had a scoop of chocolate icecream afterwards! Overall, With A Pinch Of Salt is a fun place to eat at, with very affordable prices.

For the fans of Lee Min Ho

Was invited to attend Lee Min Ho's press conference for LG optimus and the meet&greet session after.

I did not watch Boys Over Flowers, so I can't say I'm a fan. However, Lee Min Ho seems quite cute, abit shy yet adorable at the same time.

Lee Min Ho seems to mention wanting a girlfriend very much, and whenever the press asks something related to girls, Lee Min Ho gives that very cute laugh.

Because we were enjoying the yummy lunch at another ballroom, we reached slightly later than the other guests. Thus, we took the nearest VIP seats available and it was only when the music started then we knew our ears are doomed. We were sitting right next to the speakers!!!


Love the maxi dress I wore that day. Added a jacket cos scared cold but you've gotta see the nice straps (nextime luh okay)! This pretty dress (+the bag) is from theblogshopsg :D I think it's my favourite dress for now.
