Went out for shopping day with Mummy and Sis some days back!

Had Yoshinoya for lunch and mum's bowl was filled with veggies from me and sister's bowl. Haha. She was so full from it. It's like she was eating veggie rice.

After disposing of our veggies, me and sis only had 4 pathetic pieces of meat in our rice bowl. I'm still wondering why I had liked Yoshinoya in my secondary school days.

Love my new bag! Saw the exact same bag on another girl previously and had wanted a bag like that. So glad that I could find it at only $12!! Black plain slippers ($10) are for wearing at the office, 4 maxi eyes contact lenses ($56) and light blue denim jacket ($28 - supposedly $30 but the salesgirl accidently gave me discount, whee)! It's so rare that I could find a denim jacket suitable for me. I didn't want a thick material one, so this one is perfect, especially with the lace at the sleeve hem!

Wore it over a floral tube dress! :)

My colleague went overseas and came back with this "xing fu" thingy for me.

Recently i started playing a new game on facebook! It is called hotel city. I'm very pleased with my hotel's renovation and themes!! :D:D

Which room you love most? :D

(1) Modern - rich, luxury style
(2) Modern black and white room - for business people.
(3) Japanese themed room
(4) Chinese floral theme
(5) Victorian Royal
(6) Green? lol. don't know what theme to call this.
(7) Rainbow Kids room
(8) Baby's room.
(9) Valentines love.
And the rest is restaurant, gym and cleaners room :D Some of the rooms are very cramped cos I had wanted to fill up the green bar .Currently my hotel is full up 5 stars hotel! :D I'm still waiting to level up so that I can expand my area and build more rooms!

A victim of relationship violence?

It's a heavy topic, and I don't know if it'll be sensitive to any of my readers who might happen to be victims of this particular thing called "Relationship Violence".

Facts:
As many as one in every three college-aged men and women experience violence in their dating relationships.

Relationship violence happens in same-sex relationship at about the same rate as in heterosexual relationships.

Only one of every 25 people who experience relationship violence will seek help from professional service providers.

Violence and abuse occur across all socioeconomic, racial, religious, and ethnic groups.

Ending an abusive relationship is hard. Only about four out of ten relationships end after the onset of violence and abuse. People stay due to fear, confusion, loss of self-esteem, or the belief that the abuser needs their help or will change.

I'm now speaking from a bystander's point of view, and it might not be accurate, because I've never really experienced it before. *choy.

It is often shown on TV throughout my growing up years. Mum has always reminded us again and again that if me or my sister is ever a victim of violence in our future relationships or marriage, leave him and NEVER TURN BACK. Mum's theory was that if he can do it once, he will do it twice. It's true.

When I was still young, I watched shows of woman being cheated by their spouse and forgave them. I used to think that they are all stupid, but when i eventually got cheated on by an ex-boyfriend several years ago, I began to understand why these woman became stupid. It's very difficult to explain why women have such a forgiving heart when they fall in love.

I'm wondering if it'll be the same case for violence victims. Usually men who hit on wives/girlfriends are especially sweet to them during normal days. And because of these, many of women would find excuses for the men, thinking that "he must have hit me cos he was drunk and didn't know what he was doing... or he must have been feeling alot of stress at work, as a wife I have to forgive and support him through his difficult phase... He expressed his apology, I'm sure he is really sorry about it and he won't do it again". I know, these are invalid excuses but alot of women are like this.

I once thought about what I would do if SX were ever to hit me. Deep in my heart, I believe that he will never do it on purpose because... well, I know. (you see, that's the problem with girls in love.) But I feel that it's possible for it to happen in the future, because I see that he sometimes has the tendency to hit walls/raise his fists when he's really angry in a quarrel. He has never hit me before, but I have asked him whether he'll ever beat me. He of course swore that he'll never hit me, but sometimes you never know. Some people have this violence streak in them that they cannot control.

Now, here's the question most woman would think about "do you give up a man who loves you perfectly and treats you well most of the time except that he has violence in his blood which he can't control?"

Well, I would say, give him the benefit of the doubt until he really does it. For me, I feel secure with SX and his character is the kind that would protect me over himself, so I believe that he wouldn't hurt me if he has the choice.

I told SX that if he were to ever hit me, be it uncontrollable or not, I will leave him. That's the way women should be. Most women like to think that their husbands aren't really that bad, but truth is, be it on purpose or not, no women should be victims of endless violence. Don't give yourself excuses that he will change. If he has the violence streak in him, no matter how long he can suppress it, there will come a day when he'll strike again.

If you can, leave him after the 1st strike.
If you really cannot bear to leave (which i think will be majority of the case) and ONLY IF he is really sorry, send him for counselling or something. But if it strikes one more time, leave no more chances okay. If even after counselling he does it again then there is alot of possibility that he'll do it again and again. You can definitely find a better guy. I know this is unfair to the men who in real cases are unable to control their violence, but if it continues on, it'll also be unfair to the woman.

I know someone who is a victim of this issue. I don't know her personally, but she's related through friends. I feel sad when I heard of her being hit repeatedly yet somehow she acts like it's normal. It's NOT!

Let's not be weak, ladies.
Protect yourself, don't be trapped in relationship violence. I know it's not easy to pull away, but it's possible.

EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BE PAMPERED AND LOVED.

What are your views regarding this issue?

Totally random.

I accidentally heard a group of people singing the happy birthday song and realised that their version is different from the one I've been singing for years!

Their lyrics go like this:

Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you

Mine, goes like this:
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you you (replace you-you with name sometimes, for example, happy birthday to Jo-Anne)
Happy birthday to you

Which version do you sing?
Or is yours another version??

I always thought that the birthday song is standard worldwide. Never expected it to have a difference!

Jiu Xiang Lai Zhe Ni,
and
Ming Zhong Zhu Ding Wo Ai Ni.

Both of these are very popular drama series, because of their "cinderella" element.

In both shows:
- The female character is especially kind/strong
- The female character is from a lower class
- Female meets rich man
- Rich man dislikes the female lead at first, but soon fall for their cuteness/kindness/ etc.

AND IN BOTH OF THESE SHOW, there is this particular element which I really dislike.

Both of the male leads had their own long-term girlfriend, who they actually loved very much. However, their girlfriends are both career minded, thus they feel sort of neglected.

Then they meet the new girl (female leads) and fall in love with them.

It's so saddening!
Like they were actually much in love with their actual girlfriends until these girls came along! Most people would feel happy for the female leads but I feel sad for the actual girlfriends :( If these female leads didn't enter the men's lives, the actual girlfriend would not be pushed out of the picture already.

Scriptwriters should really take out all these actual girlfriends from the story and not make me feel that the female lead became a unvoluntary 3rd party!

See this diagram, the route from my house to the bus stop:
(not drawn to scale luh, the bus where got as big as a flat. haha)

Usually if a bus comes along, I'll definitely be able to see it (as shown in the diagram). The thing about it is, from the point where I see a bus coming along, it's still quite some path before the bus stop. If I run (with max speed), there is 50 percent chance I might be able to catch it (if there are lotsa people taking their own sweet time to get up the bus).

If it was you, and you are in a hurry, you will run right??
That's the irritating thing about it. I rather not being able to see the bus coming along, because at least if I did not manage to run fast enough to catch the bus, I WONT KNOW. It sucks to know that I missed the bus cos I ran a tad too slow. Imagine if I strolled my way there, the bus would have left 3 minutes ago without me knowing, then it wont be counted as "missing the bus"!

So nowadays I try to look at the floor while walking to the bus stop and resist the urge to glimpse towards the road to see if the bus is coming along. Haha stupid right, where got people create a mountain out of a molehill about this kind of trivial stuff one. Lol.

You know, I always judge whether my day will be suay or not by this de. If I miss the bus, I always conclude that I'm having a suay morning then I'll be scolding myself. If I reach the bus stop at the same time as the bus is coming, I'll be super happy and conclude that I'll be having a smooth day. Haha.

Anyway, speaking of roads, how do you people look out for traffic when crossing over to the other side?

Most people would answer "of course the eyes luh!"
But I think I have a different approach.

I realise that I always listen for cars instead of looking for cars. When I cross normal (small) roads, I have a habit of always looking straight and walk. If a car comes along, I will detect it cos I can hear the engine coming towards me.

Without my sense of hearing, I'll be very prone to accidents. I remembered several times I almost kena because I was listening to music using earpiece. Luckily afew times my friends will hold me back. I even had a classmate last time who ran into the middle of the road just to grab me back cos she shouted to me that there is a car coming and I didn't hear cos I was listening to the earpiece.

Phew.

Erm, how do I abruptly end such a random entry? Seems like after 4 years of blogging I still havent learn the art to ending a blogpost properly!

How do the other bloggers do it so smoothly!!!!
