HELLO~~~~

If you know me well, you would know that I love exploring new paths, exciting plans, etc. I always wish I could travel/holiday for a living but that's not going to come true any time soon due to me not being born a rich kid, but while waiting, I can still find some other ways to get around my budget right?

When BF finally had an offday that is on the same day as mine, we decided to go for a one-day trip to Pulau Ubin. Yep, one day only cos my mum won't allow me to stay overnight elsewhere without her. And yep, Pulau Ubin because I can never get my passport from her without her hoard of questions. I tried asking it for one-day trips before but she say CANNOT :( Batam, bintan, phuket, johor, all she say very dangerous for me unless she is around but I can't seem to convince her to go with me. Boo!

Nevermind lah, Pulau Ubin is also a getaway!

I've not been there since I went there once as a kid, so I was quite excited~!

To get there, we have to sit on a bumboat from Changi Ferry Terminal. Before heading off, we grabbed goreng pisang from the hawker centre. This store sells very good goreng pisang!






The boat doesn't have any fixed timings. The boat will only start if the queue reach to 12 passengers.

I've always wanted to go stand on a real kampong house on water!


Lunchie first! How come there are so many wild dogs around? So scary!! Having pet puppies licking me is one thing, having big stray dogs licking me is another thing! I also have eczema on my feet which I'm trying hard to close wounds, I do not want to kena infection :( Ultimately, I scared they bite O_O


Me like to eat Hokkien mee!! Very nice!

Damn adventure loh!! There was no indication of where we are and no signboards and no main routes. What if we get lost and cannot go out before night falls??? OH THE HORROR.

After being stuck in the forest for super long, we finally reached Chek Jawa! We were really tired by then, so after looking at directions, we decided to go towards the viewing tower.



But then when we saw we had to climb so high up, we immediately U-TURN. LOL!!



We walked in the other direction, which is the jetty!

Our Christmas Tree

Yesterday while out on our christmas date, SX suddenly mentioned: "Sad, our xmas tree must dismantle liao"... I think he was referring more to the troublesome part of unpacking a tree than the romantic part of the fact that the tree was set up solely by the both of us.

Early this month before Christmas, we were tasked to set up the Xmas Tree for our company. It was the first time I set up a Christmas Tree, and also the first time I did it with a boyfriend.

I don't think he enjoyed the decoration process. I did all the fun part (hanging crystal balls), while I left the more difficult parts to him (sticking golden leaves that keeps falling and clearing up after we are done). Hahah.

Also, we did it wrongly. We finished hanging all the ornaments before realising that we were supposed to wrap the light bulbs around the tree before hanging the decor. Lol. In the end we just wrapped it around on top of the ornaments and manually adjusted it one by one.

Our Christmas Tree was the traditional green kind. Our ornaments are mostly red, gold and silver.
I didn't take any pictures of the tree though.

Our celebration yesterday was simple. More about it in another entry. Meanwhile, wait for tonight's entry ok! It'll be a long picturey entry!

What I have been up to:

- ALOT. I've been going out with the boyfriend and my friends alot and I've taken so many pictures but havent had time to sort them out thus I'm now making do with blogging in just words! But then I got nothing much to blog about because all that I need to blog about requires my pictures! Do wait for my entries okay, I'm sure you all will love those long picturey ones!

- WORK. It has been a really hectic week and my past few days revolved entirely around it. From 4am in the morning to past midnight -.-" I wish I am able to share about my work with my readers because it's so exciting and I'm sure many of you are interested to see pictures and know more, but I can't :( Oh well, it's really difficult for me to keep this all in because I'm so used to sharing everything about my life on my blog... Sigh!!

- WHATELSE? Nothing much now that the project is over. I'm just really exhausted and I hope to get some rest but I can't because I have activities packed till next week. Bahhhhh.

- WHAT AM I EATING NOW? Double Mcspicy. I really like Mcspicy without veggies and cream. Even the order taker near my workplace can memorise my order without me even opening my mouth. Lol. Both the lunch and breakfast ordertaker. For breakfast I like the sausage mcmuffin with extra cheese (omg their cheese are so yummy). Haha ya lah I very mafan de, all my food must be customised.

Magic Carpets?

Had a little meet up session with my girls just afew days ago. We went to Arab st wanting to try sheesha and sit on floormats to have the authentic "feel" but we ended up on the other spectrum --- indoor + comfy sofa seats. Lol!

We went to Haji Lane first to shop at THEBLOGSHOP.



They have plenty of travel bags in store now!


Unique and pretty aren't they? :)


We headed off to look for food after awhile because we were so hungry!


We finally anyhowly settled on Nasrin. Good choice!


I love the furnishings. Very turkish and unique!



We ordered 3 dishes to share.
Nadia ordered this for us to dip. The bread is nice! The two puddles are actually sauces.


This is mutton kebab. I think it's really yummy, and has a taste that is not easily found elsewhere.


And our chicken kebab! I'm so happy that all the dishes we ordered were good. This chicken kebab is so yummy that I've been craving for it everyday since. It's juicy and flavoursome. See the rice? It's so thin I didn't know it's rice! Quite interesting, never saw such rice before.
